

Abraham Levy passed away peacefully at his Hewlett, New York home on Saturday, October 13, 2012. Abe was born in New York City on July 27, 1915 and raised in Brooklyn by his loving parents Celia and Issac. He attended Lincoln High School and Brooklyn College. Abe enlisted in the Army during WWII serving in France and Germany. He was a decorated War Hero receiving a Purple Heart, Bronze Star and Commissioned on the Battlefield as an Officer rising from Private to Second Lieutenant.
Following the War, he met his beloved wife Marilyn and they were enriched by a wonderful marriage and family over the past 64 years. Abe was the owner of a successful business in Brooklyn and after retirement continued his passion for tennis, bridge, reading and traveling the world with his partner and wife Mikki. He also continued working assisting in businesses of friends and family.
Abe had a large network of friends and they enjoyed his company and intelligence.
He is survived by his wife and lifetime partner Mikki, his children Jess and his wife Sue, Daniel and his wife Penny, his loving daughter Jane and his grandchildren Jennifer, Elizabeth and her husband Michael, Justin, Talia and her husband Jonathan, Hillary and Eric and his Great-Granddaughter Emily.
The Family would like to thank the outstanding care of the Hospice Nurses these past few weeks.
The Family will be sitting shiva at the home of Marilyn Levy, 1185 East Broadway Hewlett, NY 11557, on Monday Oct 15 from 3-8 p.m., Tuesday, Oct 16 following the Memorial Service from 5-8 p.m, Wed., Oct 17 and Thurs Oct 18 3-8 p.m.
