To the Mechanic Family - Please know how respected and admired Asher was in the community where he resided at the time of his illness.  We are deeply saddened to realize all these months later that he was unable to recover.  The world lost a brilliant physician and human being.   May Asher's memory be for a blessing.

Asher, I Have great memories with you. Great conversations and pictures. We just don’t talk about work but personal too. Will Miss how you walk in the tele room and ask me if I’m ready and we do a run down through your list. When your busy you just leave right after and say, “Sorry, I don’t have time to talk today”. If not so, we share a good conversation and you tell me what kind of  day you were having. When you call the tele room and just say, “Hey, it’s Asher” (knowing it’s me) to follow up because I texted you about your patient or just to check about a previous event or something. 
Always asking when I’m back. We talk about what you’ll do for your 2 weeks off after working for straight 2 weeks. When you’re going to NY to visit your parents and I suggested you to check out some Filipino food spots. When you went hiking and we were going to go together at some point.. I’m sad that we never got the chance to have that call when I texted you after I went on my maternity leave(which I didn’t even get the chance to share with you)  as I haven’t seen you prior to that, which was about a couple months ago. We were both looking forward to talking and catching up coz you said you were going to tell me how you got yourself in trouble and everything. You are a nice person(although you had some moments 🤪).

Asher will be very missed. This is such a tragedy and so very sad. He was such a nice guy and a great physician. I have known him since he was an intern, and this is a loss to all of us who knew him.

I am so sorry to hear of Asher’s passing.

I worked with Asher at Cherry Hill throughout his residency  and then as an attending.  He was intelligent, kind, caring, hardworking, and helpful.  Many nights we would both be in the office late finishing our charting and even though he was busy with his own patients he would always take the time to answer my questions.  

He will be missed.

I remember Asher as a thoughtful medical resident, caring attending and overall a kind man.  He will be missed.
