Edith Baker Zolondek, age 96, passed away on March 7, 2017. She was predeceased by her first husband, Dr. Louis Baker, her second husband, Dr. Sol Zolondek and her son Dr. James Baker. She is survived by her daughter Maudie Baker Schwartz, her son Stephen Baker, eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Edith was born in New York City and lived in Long Island and Queens, New York before moving to Sarasota in 1979. She was an ardent traveler and an enthusiast for art, jazz and classical music, interior design and fashion. Most of all, she evinced social ability and joie de vie which will be missed by her many friends.
A graveside service will be held at 1PM on Sunday, March 12, 2017 with interment at Beth David Cemetery in Elmont, New York
