A graveside service will be held at 10:30 am on Friday, July 26 at Cedarpark/Beth-el Cemetary in Paramus, New Jersey. Rabbi Jay Rosenbaum] of Temple Israel in Lawrence, New York will be officiating. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Boulevard Riverside Chapels in Hewlett, New York.
Irving was born in Brooklyn on January 1, 1920. He graduated from James Madison High School.
Irving was married to Sylvia Rosenbaum on June 10, 1945; they were married 68 years.
Irving owned Ram Jewelers in the south for over 30 years. He enjoyed playing golf, spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and corn muffins, chocolate licorice, vanilla ice cream, and pecan pie.
Irving is survived by wife Sylvia, son Michael, daughter-in-law Cathy; grandchildren Elise, Jonathan, Kimberly, Ashley and their respective spouses Daniel, Jamie, and Charles; great-grandchildren Madeline, Matthew, Charlotte, and Dylan and other family and friends.
Daughter Ronni, brothers William and Herman, and sister Ann precedes Irving in death.
The family of Irving Weiss wishes to thank the Drs. and staff members of South Nassau Community Hospital for their professional care and love shown to him during his numerous visits.
The family will be sitting Shiva at the home of Michael Weiss (225 Everit Avenue, Hewlett, New York) after the service on Friday, Saturday and Sunday beginning at 12 pm.
