“Jim” was a lifelong resident of Woodmere, NY
He served in the U S Army from November 1959- April 1961.
Jim retired as a detective from the Nassau County Police Department, after serving for 24 years.
He was a member of the Woodmere Volunteer Fire Department for 55 years serving as Chief and Deputy Chief for Five years.
Jim is survived by his wife of 50 years, Valerie, his daughter Kari and son Michael and his grandsons Hunter and Ethan
The funeral arrangements are under the direction of Boulevard-Riverside Chapels in Hewlett, New York.
A chapel service will take place at 2:00pm on Wednesday, January 8, 2013.
A graveside service will immediately follow at Mount Ararat Cemetery.
