Janice Mittman Zimmerman, age 84, owner of Zimmerman’s Furniture in Lindenhurst NY, est. 1954, passed away on February 29th 2012 after a valiant battle with cancer. All who knew her loved and respected her as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and businesswoman. Survived by daughter Leah Zamir, son Marc Zimmerman, M.D., daughter in law Leesa Zimmerman, son Jeffrey Zimmerman, grandchildren Aviv, Dorit, Brett, Blake, Brielle, Baylie Rose, Justin, Samantha, and Matthew, brother Stanley and sister Audrey.
Zimmerman’s Furniture will continue under the leadership of 3rd generation owner, Jeff Zimmerman.
The funeral is scheduled Friday, March 2, 2012, 10am, at the Boulevard-Riverside Chapels. The Chapel is located at 1450 Broadway, Hewlett, NY 11557.
The family wishes that donations be made to Hadassah or the American Cancer Society.
