I just learned of Jay’s passing and am completely saddened and shocked. I’ve known Jay for over fifty years growing up together and have nothing but wonderful memories of his warmth, kindness, and friendship as a friend. I know how difficult it must be for his mom, sister, and immediate family and friends for this loss. My heartfelt thoughts and prayers go out to you all. Jay will be greatly missed. I am so very sorry.

Jay, Ronald, Robert, and I slept out at Jay’s house one night. We slept out in the back yard and we called that sleeping out. We got up at first light the next day and walked over The Bridge to the deli because we knew there would be fresh hot bread delivered and waiting outside the door before they opened. We each took a roll from the bag and it was the best thing we ever tasted. On the way home we got stopped by the cops but made our getaway into the woods, terrified that if we got caught our parents would kill us. Funny what comes to mind.

Just heard this awful and such sad news Betsy. My heart is aching for you and the children and Jay's mom and sister and all loved ones. My memories of you both in Oswego are beautiful ones...such a beautiful couple who continued on celebrating life all of these years together. My love and prayers are with you all and may Jay rest in peace.

I am so sad for everyone's loss of Jay! Having known Sunny, Eddie, Felice and Jay my whole life and spending my childhood with the Tilin's not only as neighbors but close family friends. Jay was not only Felice's little bothersome brother but a great guy. Glad I got to spend some time with him as an adult and got to meet his wonderful wife and terrific kids. What a beautiful family. My love to all of you for this sad loss. Special hugs to Sunny❤️

OMG Betsy, I'm so sorry!!! I had no idea. Even though I haven't seen either of you in many years, I remember Jay as a kind soul. I hope that you and your family are coping as best you can. Many hugs.

Jay was always there to lend me a helping hand and with a smile on his face. In the post production industry that is not easy to come by.
He will be missed and remembered.
