I am very sorry to hear this news. As a cousin of Judy’s I enjoyed meeting her most recently at a genealogy reunion of the Goldfinger’s!

Richard, Lois, and Family,

I write this in memory of my Mother, Marilyn Begelfer-Orenstein-Roberts, now gone 10 years from us.  Judi was such a fabulous friend to Mom.  They worked together, played together, laughed and cried together.  Such a friendship could only be interpreted as a Mitzvah in and of itself.  There is nothing anyone can say to help anyone get "over" such a loss as Judi.  Mom used to say, "we can only get past it".  I will leave you with hose words.  I hope to see you this Friday afternoon, as I will be in NY.

My deepest condolences to Richard and his family on the loss of Judy, a smiling, friendly, intelligent contributor in any social setting. Her grace and sense of humor put everyone immediately at ease. I will cherish her memory.

Cousin Judy was always so kind. She was very sweet and caring whenever we connected like at my parents' house in Florida most recently. We appreciated how generous she was for our son's Bar Mitzvah. She was a lovely person with a big heart and will be greatly missed.

For the entire Simon family, we are all feeling overwhelming shock & sadness over the passing of our dear cousin Judith.
Judy was the cog that kept the Goldfinger clan in touch with each other.
More than a few months never passed without a call from her.
Her sweetness and humanism always flowed from the  numerous conversations and even though sometimes years passed without 
having eye contact, heart contact always existed.
I sincerely hope a new cog will appear to keep the Goldfinger family
in touch.  Maybe someone from the younger generation will step up.

Judy always made people feel loved and special.

As a child, growing up, I looked up to both - Judy and Lois, two of my favorite cousins.  When I was a young teenager, they had already figured out how to be young adults. I wanted to be just like them.

Years  later, Judy reached out to me when her community was looking to build an inclusive playground. She was taking a leadership role in this community project. I had co-founded a nonprofit that helped communities create playgrounds where children of all abilities could learn, play and grow together. This gave me the opportunity to work with Judy and her wonderful committee. What a pleasure it was to get to know Judy in a new way as we worked on this special project. I remember visits to her school and community meetings, and finally the grand opening.

I offer my most heartfelt condolences to Judy’s family and friends.

Judy, you will always be in my heart.

I always thought of Judi as an aunt. I will miss our chats and education talk. I am thinking of you all and sending my love and sympathies.
