Lemel (Leo) Adler, born in Tarnow, Poland, a Holocaust survivor of Auschwitz and three labor camps, achieved 101 years of age until this past October 9th. Lemel was the beloved father of Abraham and Gary; who cherished his three grandchildren as well as his four great-grandchildren. Lemel is survived by his wife Renee of 72 years of marriage.
Lemel was a man who valued family and devoted to making a better life for his children and grandchildren. A man who wanted future generations to know of the horrors that were faced by those who had irrational hatred of groups of people. He was involved in the Florida Holocaust program who help young people understand the past and hopefully will help them to prevent the mistakes of the past from happening again.
To honor Lemel, those who wish to support his desire of a better future for all our children, donations can be made to Holocaust Documentation and Education Center of Dania Beach, FL www.hdec.org
