Mark Ramer was a jewel of a man, this is a shared message from the staff over at his place of residence. We all want to convey our deepest condolences to Mrs Ramer & the family. We all can't say enough about Mr Ramer. He always asked how we were & he really cared, brought us back fresh Pizza Pies from Lombardis so often. He always took the time out of his busy day to stop & check in with us. The entire staff has lost a dear friend. He actually made us feel like we were family. Last but certainly not least, his unique sense of humor always put a smile on all of our faces. We will always treasure those memories.

A big gaping hole exists in the lives of our family today.
Trying to isolate individual memories of him are impossible. HE WAS ALWAYS THERE. When we had a simcha, a holiday, just a good day, he was there. And when tragedy and sadness befell us, he tried to hold us up.
It seems impossible that someone as full of life and love, generosity and wonder can be gone. He seemed to have limitless energy. He didn’t merely touch people’s lives; he imprinted himself. He was always the party… always the caretaker…always an honorable man. And no one can fill his enormous shoes.

I remember I was a little older than Jack and I finally got around to watching Empire Strikes Back. So I remember it must of been around Rosh Hashana. I was at my grandmothers house in Bayside Queens we were all over and your Dad was walking with me down the block and he asked me “Did you see Empire Strikes back???” I said “Yes! Han Solo is in Carbonite!” I was panicked because he was a great character and they kind of ended the movie on a down note. Your dad saw I was concerned he looked at me and said “Man don’t worry they DEFINITELY bringing that guy back for the next movie!”

I remember being so relieved. He always had a way of bringing out the bright side.
