Mr. Lifshitz was one of my teachers at Shubert School in Baldwin, NY. I have such fond memories of him! He gave me the encouragement that I needed and made all of us feel so special. He was also fun! I’m so glad that he lived such a long life!

He was my favorite teacher , I remember specifically asking for him and what fun it was to be in his class.. God Bless his soul.  There will never be a better teacher than Mr . L …

I don't have many fond memories of teachers over the years, but Mr. L is one. Always made it fun, always made us laugh, and teased me mercilessly when I got my first "girlfriend" in 5th grade.  Very nice man.

May he RIP, it definitely was a sad day for all who found this out today.  I loved School!  In 3rd grade I had Mrs. Jennings and I adored her.  She just lifted my spirits so much.  In 4th grade I had Mrs. Donnelly, that was the year I decided that I didn't want to go to school anymore.  I think I can honestly say she crushed my spirit.  I dreaded walking into her classroom.  When 5th grade started in my heart I had no wanting to really go into anyone's classroom anymore.  My 4th year had broken me and caused me nothing but fear and anxiety.  Like everyone else I had Mr. Lipshitz in 5th.  He brought the light back to me.  He was one of the kindest, most gentle person I had ever met.  He loved teaching and it was so obvious to all that knew him.  Every day we had with him was a blessing.  He made learning fun,  Each day we wanted more.  There will always be a special place in my heart for him.  The world needs more of you Mr. Lipshitz.  My deepest condolences to his family and friends.  We love you!!

A wonderful, kind, supportive teacher that taught me I could be anything.  He made a huge impact on so many lives. 

I loved Mr Lifshitz ! He was one of the best teachers at shubert ! He made everything fun and interesting ! We even did a March of dimes walk with him… Rest In Peace 🙏🏻

I was honored to have Mr. Lifshitz as my 5th grade homeroom teacher, at Shubert Elementary School (1972-1973). He was truly an awesome teacher! Sending my prayers to the entire family. May God's grace and love comfort you all.
