Feingersh – Philip of Oceanside, N.Y. passed away on February 11, 2014 in his 92nd year. Beloved husband of the late Eleanor Feingersh. Devoted father of Steven and Henry Feingersh. Cherished grandfather of Helen and Rachel Feingersh. Beloved father-in-law of Fern Feingersh.
Services will be held at the Boulevard-Riverside Chapels, 1450 Broadway, Hewlett, N.Y. 11557 on Friday, February 14th at 10:00 a.m. and interment will follow at Beth David Cemetery in Elmont, N.Y. Family will receive guests Friday 1:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m., Saturday 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m., and Sunday 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. at 1549 William Street, Merrick, N.Y. 11566.
Philip was twice a commander of Post 717 in Oceanside, N.Y. He was very active in the Jewish community, in Memorial Day parades, and as a volunteer and coordinator for the Disabled Veterans at St. Albans, Queens. He also arranged barbeques for the Jewish War Veterans in Long Beach. He was loved by all and will be greatly missed!
