

Passed away at the age of 90 on October 2, 2015.
Born and raised in Washington Heights, he was a graduate of Dee Witt Clinton High School and Columbia University. Joined the Navy at the age of 17 to serve in WW II rising to the rank of Ensign. He founded the textile company Carnegie Fabrics in 1950 that still thrives today 65, years later. He was a business leader renowned for both his creativity and kindness. He was a loving husband to his wife Jocelyn for 62 years and phenomenal father to his children Richard and Clifford. Bob was a champion for many cause, especially those associated with Israel and other Jewish causes. Bob and Jocelyn traveled extensively often with purpose as emissaries of the Jewish people including the Soviet Union to support refugees during the 1970's. Bob Goldman was a kind man who touched many peoples lives especially those of his two wonderful grandchildren, Julie and Katie. He will be missed not only by his family and friends but his family at the company where he devoted so much of his life to. A chapel service will be held at 10AM on Sunday, October 4, 2015 with interment following at Westchester Hills Cemetery in Hastings-on-Hudson, NY
