Grandpa tomorrow will mark 38 months since you passed away. I am still struggling health wise but trying everything to get rid of my post encephalitis migraines. We are down to the final 4 of football and the 2018 superbowl will be decided this sun. I saw your great grandsons Evan who is 5 and Zach who is 3 and who are my nephews this past wknd as they slept over my parents house. We lost a very good family friend at the age of 39 to a brain hemmorhage last wk and my mom's brother was in the hospital with heart surgery but he is coming along. The NJ devils are in second place. Everyone in our family never stops thinking about you. David, his wife Sydelle and Evan and Zach also miss you as well as Grandma and myself and my dad and mom. Grandpa today is new yrs day and it would have been your 101st bday. I can't begin to tell you how much I miss you and going to fight like heck to get back to work for you and be strong even with my own health issues. Grandpa tomorrow will mark 3 years since you passed away. These past 2 months have been pretty bad. I had a scare with air in my lungs and had pretty major surgery on Oct 21. I am still recovering but saw the surgeon today and he is happy with my progress. My parents are hanging in and your grandsons Evan is 5 and Zach just turned 3. They are great and so fun to be with. Dana your grandaughter mother n law unfortunately passed away yesterday at the age of 72. My friend Rob grandmother passed away today. My giants are one of the worst teams in football but my devils right now are in first place. I will see Grandma for thanksgiving on Thurs. However, not a day or even a second goes by or a holiday where you are not missed or thought about. I can't believe tomorrow marks 3 years already since you passed on. Grandpa, tomorrow will mark 34 months since you passed away. I have been pretty ill but was at Hopkins Mon and we have a plan. Todd mom passed yesterday. Evan your oldest great grandson started kindergarten earlier this month. Grandma is doing well and Zach your youngest grandson started preschool. The whole family was in Kiawah island last month and came home on Labor day. I miss you so much and promise as soon as my health permits I will be out to see you. Love you Gregg

Grandpa tomorrow marks 33 months since you passed away. I miss you so much. My health hasn't been great and my sugar levels are very high due to being on steroids every wk. Your oldest grandson Evan just finished camp and is going to be going into Kindergarten soon. Your youngest grandson Zach is getting bigger and bigger each day. I wish you got to spend more time with the boys. Everyone in the family is hanging in. Grandma will be 97 in a couple of wks and your anniversary with grandma just passed the other day. Grandpa tomorrow is 31 months since you passed away and it is also the 3rd fathers day that you haven't been with us. Evan graduated preschool last wk and is going to be 5 yrs old in 9 days. I had a procedure last almost 10 days ago for the post encephalitis headaches and to try to get off the steroids. I was traveling all over for minor league hockey playoffs and that finally ended. My dad will be 68 in about 11 days. Our mets are terrible again and so injured I can't even watch them. Grandpa tomorrow will mark 30 months since you passed away. I am going to be seeing you soon. My health has been shaky but because of your toughness and never give up attitude I am trying my best to pull through my own problems. I miss talking to you about sports, and life in general. Grandpa, tomorrow will be 22 months since you passed away. I haven't been out to see you since I last wrote because I was diagnosed with steroid induced diabetes and low iron. I promise I will see you soon and I am working hard with a nutrionist to get ride of the diabetes. I have an iron infusion for Mon and you would be so proud of Evan who is 4 your great grandson and zach your other great grandson who is almost 2. They are amazing nephews to me. Grandpa, Monday will mark 20 months since you passed away. I just spent the day with evan and zach today. Evan turned 4 recently and zach just turned 20 months. I wish you could have got to know them. Evan, is getting so big and so is zach. Nora is also getting big and Dana is expecting a baby boy in Oct. Your friend Stanley Horbar just passed away this past Thurs. I have been ill still. Still trying to fight my ways through autoimmune issues. The mets are not doing well for a change. The mets last month lost the world series to KC 4 games to 1 and the Giants are in first place. Health permitting we are supposed to see Grandma thurs night in NYC for a show and dinner. For most of that year I have been pretty ill including today being in the er again and getting 2 liters of iv hydration and a toderal shot for terrible pain in my head. I started a chemo drug this past Mon and have to go for one more treatment in 2 weeks. Our Mets are in first place by 7.5 games to play as of tonight and Evan is 3 years old and Zach is 10 months. Nora, Dana child is 2 years old. There is not a day that goes by that you are not missed by everyone in our family but also everyone in the office and everyone who ever knew you. Mr Aarons was a great man. A true leader. I first met him on the loading dock in 1984. He promised the crew that if we were to come work for him, we would have a job for as long as we wanted to be there. His words rang true for me as if it were my own grandfather speaking to me. If his words weren't enough, in 1989, we had a problem fitting a table into an elevator in a building in midtown. Within minutes Mr. Aarons showed up on the site and worked out everything with the building engineers to put the table on top of the elevator. While we were loading the table into the elevator the guys with me were afraid to step into it. Mr Aarons saw me struggling and stepped on top of the elevator and helped me secure the table on it. At that point I knew I had made the right decision in 1984. 

He was a man of his word. I feel he treated everyone he met equally. He inspired me to be successful. He always had my back. It was a true honor to work for him for over 30 years.

I want to wish the Aarons family peace during this time of mourning.

During the summer of 1966 I was working in NYC to earn some money for my senior year at college.My father, Sidney Mordes ,told me to look up his cousin, Pearl  Aaron's and her family. Sam  and Pearl were so kind and gracious to me. He gave me tickets to Fiddler on the Roof. It was my first time attending a broadway musical. His kindness and interest in me have never to  been forgotten. May he rest in peace.

Grandpa you have been gone 4 days and the tears have not stopped for our entire family. They will wane overtime but like I said in my eulogy to you you left our entire family a legacy to never back a way from a fight. I  miss you so much and will always love you. Your grandson Gregg

Our thoughts and prayers are with the entire Aarons family during this time of tremendous loss. For twenty-five plus years Mr. Aarons was a boss, mentor and grandfather all rolled into one.  Simply a remarkable man. Some of the fondest memories and funniest stories are times spent with him throughout the years. A wonderful, caring man who we will always remember with fondness. For 16 years he was the best neighbor and friend imaginable. A kindhearted very decent human who will be sorely missed.
