 My husband Nachum, z"l, and I moved to East Rockaway in 1990, when he became HERJC's Ritual Director. Nachum soon discovered he shared a long ago memory with Sandy: they both were on the  "Machon" program in Israel as young men! That special bond continued as Sandy became a dear friend throughout our 24 plus years at HERJC. Sandy was the most reliable "minyan man" for the daily minyan, missing only when he was away honoring his grandchildren on all their important events. Sandy will be sorely missed.  God waited and called to him  from our holiest site... the kotel…    Rest In Peace, Sandy, dear friend.

Sandy grew up at Yeshivah and Cejwin Camps, with my husband Harold Udewitz z"l.  I have many of their childhood and teen pictures together.  We met Sandy and Tommye many times in Yerushalaim, when we volunteered and Sandy took his USY group there.  Most were happy accidental encounters!
One time in particular was at the Kotel!  I was at the women's side and wanted to see where Harold and our boys were.  I looked through a little space in the divider and saw something which there is only one like it in the world!  A pendant on a chain with the names of Sandy's family!  He was near the fence.  I yelled out his name and he responded.  I asked him to look for Harold and the boys.  We met afterwards.  I hope that he was brought back with that pendant for his children.  Sandy is now with Tommye and all his lifelong friends.  Knowing Sandy Feit  z"l was a blessing to all of us.  Gladys Udewitz

I will miss you. It was was  meaningful  to be with you on the trip to Israel and so sad for your death.  Rest in Pease.

Sandy was a true Mentsch who cared deeply about his USY'ers.  I am proud to have been his "first" Kedmah Divisional President way back in 1971-1792 and to have criss-crossed Queens, Brooklyn and Manhattan way back in the day!  May Sandy's life, deeds and memory become an eternal source of Brachot and Mitzvot for his family, friends and all whose lives he touched.  May his Neshama have an Aliyah.  Baruch Dayan HaEmet.

The world has truly lost a beautiful soul. He and your mother never forgot my birthday, and when your mom passed, he continued the tradition. I am so grateful that I got to tell him how much these cards meant to me.  I feel privileged having had him as a part of my life since day one, and to be able to feel such sorrow at his passing. I hope his family can take some small comfort in knowing how much he was loved.
