It was with great sadness that I learned about Wayne’s passing. Although life had taken us in different directions, there are a flood of memories from high school and college. Wayne’s parents’ apartment in Deepdale was an oasis for our group of friends. Wayne and his parents always made us feel unconditionally welcome. Wayne’s friendship was always steady, dependable, and earnest. Whether we were traveling through Europe together during the summer as college students or sloshing through the manure/mud at Woodstock or driving around to procure the latest record by The Spencer Davis Group, Wayne was a valued pal. The world is a little colder place without him.

I was stunned to learn of Wayne's passing. Debbie, his wonderful sister, talked with me for quite awhile bout what happened and tears came to my eyes. Yet, I also remember growing up with Wayne in Deepdale Gardens,Queens. We met when we were 4 and at 5 started kindergarten at P S 187. Through the years our friends started the day before leaving for school at Wayne's parents apartment. His mom Lol was always joking with us. Fast forward,we went to Woodstock together and traveled to Europe when we were 21. So many memories if that trip come to mind. It was so amazing to be experiencing life and adventure together. Running with the bulls we just one amazing moment. Wayne will always be apart of my life's experience and always be in my thougts forever. My deepest sympathies to his wife, children and grandchildren.
