Alma L. Metzen

Alma L. Metzen, age 89, of Highland, IN, passed away on August 10, 2026. She is survived by her children, William J. Metzen and Dana Magura; grandchildren, Billy, Carly (Shannon), Brittney, Alexa (Anthony), Tyler (Jordan), and Eric; great-grandchildren, Makenzie, Maci, Avery, Kynlee, and Emerson; sister, Sue Marshall; and best friend, Linda Martinez.

Alma was preceded in death by her husband, William Metzen.

As per her wishes, Alma has been cremated, and no services will be held.

Alma will be lovingly remembered for her 45 years of dedicated service as a waitress at Brother's Restaurant in East Chicago, and for her 47 years as a loyal parishioner of St. James Church in Highland. She had a wonderful sense of humor that brought laughter and warmth to those around her. Above all, Alma cherished her family and took great care of them, creating countless memories that will be treasured forever. Her kindness, devotion, laughter, and love will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
