Alma A. Sjoerdsma Wiers

Alma A. Wiers (nee Sjoerdsma) age 75 of Highland, IN passed away Wednesday October 2, 2013 ;She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Harold “Bud”. Alma is survived by one son Tom(Shelly) Wiers of Crown Point, IN; three daughters Cindy(Ron) Sefcik of Crown Point, IN, Connie Woroszylo, of Lowell, Debbie (Dave) Montalvo of Minnesota; fourteen grandchildren Tom Jr., Tiffany, Ron Jr., Christina, DeeAnna, Amanda, Nicholas, Trevor, Brett, David Jr., Marissa, Travis, Lydia, and Trent; two sisters Betty Rauguth, Ida Redenbaugh; three sister-in-laws Joyce Sjoerdsma, Grace Sjoerdsma, Lee Sjoerdsma, many nieces and nephews. Alma is preceded in death by brothers Raymond Sjoerdsma, Daniel Sjoerdsma, Harry Sjoerdsma, and Pete Sjoerdsma.

Funeral services for Alma will be held on Monday October 7th, 2013 10:00 AM ay Kuiper Funeral Home (9039 Kleinman Rd) Highland, IN and officiated by Rev. Paul Ipema. Burial will follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, Schererville; IN. Friends may visit with the family on Sunday October 6th, 2013 from 3 to 8 pm.

Alma was a member of community United Reformed Church of Schererville. She loved people and enjoyed her career as an independent business woman specializing in sales and marketing. Alma was known for being generous, encouraging, and always helping others. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends
