Billie Ray Sexton

Billie Ray Sexton, age 68, born in Jasper, AL, currently of Schererville, IN passed away, Monday, June 9, 2014. He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Sandy (nee Stutz); four children: Ronald (Noire Nelson) Grodetz, Stephen (Kim Russell) Grodetz, Scott (Dawn) Sexton and J.R. Sexton; twelve grandchildren; six great grandchildren; two brothers: Theodore "Gus" Sexton and Jerry (Fran) Sexton; sister, Sue Heffron; numerous nieces and nephews; and super neighbors: Greg (Pam) Sheldberg, Gordy (Denise) Driscoll and Neil (Laura) Pintler. Mr. Sexton was preceded in death by his parents: Myrtle Nails and Theodore "Doc" Sexton; sister, Bertie Hedum; three brothers: Asa "Doodle", L.B. "Pete" and Herman Lee Sexton. Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 12, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Kuiper Funeral Home, 9039 Kleinman Road (two blocks south of Ridge Road) Highland, IN with Lynette Caudillo officiating. Interment will follow at Memory Lane Memorial Park, Schererville, IN. Friends are invited to meet with the family Wednesday, June 11, 2014 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at Kuiper Funeral Home. Billie married Sandy Sexton May 13, 1972 in Jasper, AL. He was employed for 20 years at A.J. Pizza Company and 18 years at Arrow Trucking. He was also an avid NASCAR fan. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Billie's loving memory may be made to Hospice of the Calumet Area or your favorite charity.
