

On March 6, 2015, God threw open the gates of heaven to welcome his faithful, beautiful servant, Carol Ann Barbara Toth Leep. Loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, niece, aunt and supportive friend to many, Carol, who was born on March 4, 1942, lived a rich, full life, always peppered with quirky mayhem that resulted in great stories. Quick to laugh and easy to talk to, Carol’s life was shaped by service to others. She raised three children, all of whom honor and love her, and who took great joy in both teasing her and making her laugh. She worked various office jobs, but spent much of her work life helping to build the family business, American Natural Resources with her exacting and careful book keeping and magnificent office skills. Honest and trustworthy, a profound faith and love of the Lord guided all her actions and all her ways. If faith without works is dead, her faith couldn’t have been more alive as her constant work for others showed. Always busy, but never too busy for a friend, she was quick to help, volunteer, meet, hug, share a cup of tea and listen. She touched the lives of many, particularly through her long dedication to the organizations for girls at First Christian Reformed Church (now Faith Church) of Highland, Indiana where she volunteered for over 40 years as counselor to Calvinettes, Busy Bees, and Gems, all groups dedicated to helping girls grow in spirit and love. Leep; devoted children, daughter Cheryl and son in law Bruce Wyma, daughter Dr. Jeanne Leep, Ph.D and son in law Christopher Edmonds, son Edward A. Leep and daughter in law Theresa Leep; three grandchildren, Nathanael Wyma, Adrielle Wyma and Adam Leep; and treasured siblings Richard Toth and Melody Toth. Part of a big, close knit family, she is also survived by three great-aunts, ten brothers and sisters-in-law, 23 nieces and nephews, and 25 grand-nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at Faith Church Highland, 8910 Grace St. on Tuesday, March 10 at 10:30 AM with Rev. Jason DeVries officiating. Burial will be at Hope Cemetery in Highland. Friends may visit with the family at Kuiper Funeral Home, 9039 Kleinman Road, Highland (two blocks south of Ridge Road) on Monday, March 9 from 2-8 PM. sic, food, holidays, Scrabble, crafts, garage sailing, and laughter, her life was filled with salt and light and was rich with family and friends.
