Eleanor Patricia Woods, age 78, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, October 27, 2021. She is survived by her loving sister, Marian Muresan; brother, John (late Irene) Muresan; nephews, David (Deborah) Muresan, Daniel (Cathy) Muresan and James (Laura) Muresan; niece, Denise (Raymond) Bielski and many extended loving family members and friends.
Preceded in death by her husband, Charles Woods, Eleanor was born February 7, 1943 in East Chicago, IN to the late Gabriel and Magdelena Muresan. After graduating from high school, she received her cosmetologist license in 1961. On February 19, 1972, she married the love of her life, Chuck, and they shared 27 years together. She retired from Inland Steel with 25 years of service.
Eleanor was a loving daughter, sister, wife, aunt and friend and will truly be missed by all whose lives she touched. She was laid to rest privately by the family at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, Crown Point, IN.
