.Gladys Smith, age 74, of Gary, IN passed away April 12, 2014. She is survived by two sons: Jonathan (Lisa) Smith, of Highland, IN, Shay (Lesley) Smith of Gary, IN; three daughters: Carole Nielson of Gary, IN, Kimberly Roper of WI, Shannon (Rich) Gantz of Highland, IN; 18 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; one brother, Lloyd Walker of IL; one sister, Carole (Howard) Littell of AZ. Preceded in death by her husband, John; and son, Cole Smith. Funeral services with be held Wednesday April 16,2014; 10:30 AM at Kuiper Funeral Home 9039 Kleinman Rd (two blocks south of Ridge Rd) Highland, IN, Pastor John Hoffmaster officiating, burial Chapel Lawn Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday morning from 8:30 AM until 10:30 AM (time of services) at the funeral home.
