Gloria E Lewis Licciardone

Gloria E. Licciardone (nee Lewis) age 87, of Highland, IN was born October 31, 1924 and passed away at home with her loving family by her side on Monday, April 9, 2012. She is survived by her son, Louis (Cindy) Licciardone of Valparaiso, IN; four daughters: Betty Jo Hopkinson of New Lenox, IL, Gloria (Richard) Fantin of Hammond, IN, Rita Mayo of Highland, IN and Merrilee (Jeff) Greathouse of Buckeye, AZ; daughter-in-law, Beverly Licciardone; 19 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren and 3 more grandchildren on the way; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mrs. Licciardone was preceded in death by her husband, Louie; son, Rudy; daughter, Kathleen; son-in-law, Gil Hopkinson; parents: Lawrence and Margaretta Lewis; brothers: Frank and Phillip; and great-grandsons: Spencer Greathouse and Christian Gatlin. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 13, 2012 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 8601 Harrison Ave., Munster, IN with Rev. Donald Stock officiating. Interment will follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside, IL. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Thursday, April 12, 2012 from 3:00-9:00 p.m. at Kuiper Funeral Home, 9039 Kleinman Road (two blocks south of Ridge Road) Highland, IN. Gloria was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Munster, IN and was formerly employed in the Gavit High School cafeteria in Hammond where she loved to serve the children. She was an avid bowler and a fabulous Italian cook. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the family would be appreciated.
