Hector Quiñonez, age 92, of Hammond, IN, passed away on June 29, 2026. He is survived by his wife, Lidia Quiñonez; daughter, Brenda (Robert) Schweisthal; son, Hector "Rick" Quiñonez; and grandson, Jacob Andrew Schweisthal. Hector was preceded in death by his former wife, Rosa Elva Quiñonez.
Hector will be remembered as a devoted husband, a loving father, and a man whose life was grounded in faith, love, and music. Every morning, he began his day by reading his Bible, drawing strength, wisdom, and peace from God's Word. He found great joy in his family cooking for him, playing the marimba, and listening to his beloved wife, Lidia, sing to him. His gentle spirit, unwavering faith, and deep love for his family touched everyone who knew him. Though he will be deeply missed, his legacy of kindness, devotion, and enduring faith will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
