Heinz Depner

Heinz Depner, age 84, of Villa Park, IL, passed away peacefully on September 19, 2026. He is survived by his beloved wife, Barbara Ann; son, John; daughter, Susan; grandchildren, Jack and Jessica; sister, Ursula Rodisch; and several nieces, nephews, and other loving family members.

Heinz was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Depner.

As per his wishes, Heinz will be cremated and private family services will be held.

Heinz dedicated more than 30 years of his life to his career as an IUEC elevator mechanic with Local 2, taking great pride in his work and the friendships he made along the way. He was also a longtime member of the Greenwood Rod and Gun Club, where he enjoyed the outdoors and the camaraderie of good friends. Heinz treasured his time hunting and fishing, especially when those adventures were shared with family and friends. Above all, he cherished his role as a grandfather and loved making special memories with his grandchildren, Jack and Jessica. His love of the outdoors, generous spirit, and the memories he created with those he loved will remain in the hearts of his family and friends forever.
