Helen D. Dudek Zemen

Helen D. Zemen (nee Dudek), age 88, of Highland, IN passed away Wednesday, July 22, 2015. Helen is survived by one son Bernie (Donna) Zemen of Highland; two daughters Doreen (Don) Kitchell of Highland and Debbie (Jim) Roberts of Schererville; six grandchildren: Angie (Todd) Kuna, Laura (Rick) Steyer, Dru, Brandon and Sarah Kitchell and Rachel Roberts; five great grandchildren: Rosie, Willow, Nathan, Penelope, and Dylan; one brother Frank Dudek of Highland; two sisters Julie (Roman) Sapyta of FL and Edna Petrovich of Highland; many nieces and nephews and loving caregiver Diotay. She was preceded in death by her husband Ben, and brother Edward Dudek.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, July 27, at 10:30 AM at Our Lady of Grace Church, 3005 Condit St. Highland with Rev. Edward Moszur officiating. Burial will follow at St. John/St. Joseph Catholic Cemeteries in Hammond. Friends may visit with the family on Sunday, July 26 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Kuiper Funeral Home, 9039 Kleinman Road, Highland (two blocks south of Ridge Road). A prayer service will be held at 3:30 PM.

Helen was a member of Our Lady of Grace Church in Highland. She loved to garden and enjoyed her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a diehard CUBS fan and she loved her cat, Petey. Please visit www.kuiperfh.com
