Henry Ortiz

Henry Ortiz, age 49, of East Chicago, Indiana passed away on Tuesday, May 4, 2021. Henry was born September 10, 1971 in Hammond, Indiana to Guadalupe and Nicholas Ortiz. Henry was a graduate of Central High School in East Chicago, IN Class of 1989. Henry was a loving and caring person who loved spending time with his niece, family, and friends. He was compassionate and his generosity was recognized by all. He like making people laugh and making them feel welcomed. Henry enjoyed traveling, playing video games, and loved his spanish music. He was a huge Chicago Bears fan and enjoyed watching his favorite team play. Henry was preceded in death by his parents Guadalupe and Nicholas Ortiz. Henry is survived by his brother George Ortiz, two sisters Nancy and Norma Ortiz; niece Nasiya Jackson and a host of other relatives and friends. Henry will be greatly missed by all his family and friends. A visitation for Henry will be held on Thursday, May 13, 2021 from 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Kuiper Funeral Home 9039 Kleinman Road Highland, IN 46322. A Visitation will be held on Friday, May 14, 2021 at 9:00 am and Funeral Mass at 10:00 am at St. Patrick Church 3810 Grand Blvd East Chicago, IN 46312.
