Remembering Uncle Bud... visits to Hammond (a garage with a model-T and the basement rec room), family vacations in Arkansas at my Grandma Livingston's, and lately, going through old photographs.
In those photos, I have seen him --- as a toddler, a young boy, a young man, a Seabee....as a groom with Aunt Helen, his new bride...as a father, a grandfather, as a brother to my mom... and as my uncle.  We visited far too little, but I remember his smile, his creative talent and our last meeting on a rainy day in Pennsylvania.
Ron remembers the great laugh they all had at the dinner table one evening.  Sorry I missed that one.

How great it was to meet the two of you at Dick's Restaurant that day and share each of our tales of woe.  Bud's good day out he had said.   We will miss our pal.

Although we did not know Mr. Livingston, it has been our pleasure and fortune to meet his son Jim (or as we call him "Doc") and his wonderful family - Connie, Heather, Erin and John.  Doc has shared many stories of his parents, especially ones about his Dad and the Models A's.  We are very sadden to hear of their loss and hope they take comfort in knowing that he no longer suffers from his earthly ailments.    This is a very difficult time for the Livingston family; may God comfort you now and in the days to come.  Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Livingston family with special emphasis for Doc's Mom.

I was truly saddened by the passing of Bud. He was an honorable man who came to know the Lord. Bud and Helen were tremendous neighbors. I was never afraid to tackle a "project" in my home because Bud was next door. I always was welcome to ask questions and more often get his help to complete many projects. Bud was a "Jack of all trades." He could do plumbing, electrical, lay flooring, etc. It didn't matter what the project was and if he had never attempted something - no problem, Bud would figure it out. I will never forget my "bathroom" project when I hoped to just tile. Of course, I had water damaged walls and Bud told me to cut them out. So, without ever using most power tools, I took out a jigsaw and cut out the walls around the tub. Now what? I asked. Needless to say, eventually we had a beautiful bathroom. Our world is a bit darker without Bud Livingston but heaven is immensly brighter.

I will always admire my Uncle Bud for his patience and slowness to anger. He was truly a man that I looked up to. Who could ever forget the perfection he took in completing any task. I know he not only loved Aunt Helen deeply but also Cousin Jimmy and family. He also cared deeply for any friend or stranger that he knew or met. There was not a single stranger in his life. We will forever miss him. Until we meet in heaven Uncle Bud, so long for now.

I was sadden to hear of the passing of uncle Bud. I will always have the fondest of memories of his visits to Kansas with his ever present cigar. I do remember that he and my father seemed to always be in trouble with the women folk due to some visits to a place called Sammy's.
