James Leon Tchalo

.James L. Tchalo age 84 of Highland, IN passed away on October 1, 2014. Son of Leon and Nada Tchalo, he was born on June 10, 1930 in East Chicago, IN. He is survived by his special friend Theresa Batliner, his sister Florence Marsh of Highland, IN nephew Jeff (Florence) Marsh, Highland, IN, niece Diane (John) Lucchese of Elkhart, IN also surviving are great nephews John Lucchese, Anthony Lucchese, Michael (Valarie) Lesniewski, niece Jennie (Jerry) Rios, also great- great nieces and nephews Thomas, Hanna, Timothy, Joshua, Autumn Lesniewski. James graduated from Washington High School in East Chicago class of 1949 and Wabash College class of 1953. He Worked for Amoco and Inland Steel (Mittal) in Human Resources. He enjoyed playing basketball at Washington High School and Wabash College. After graduation from college he enjoyed scouting basketball games for Coach Barrato. He was a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity. Friends may call on Sunday October 5, 2014 from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Kuiper Funeral Home 9039 Kleinman Rd (two blocks south of Ridge Rd) Highland, IN with funeral service at Noon on Monday October 6, 2014 at the funeral home.
