Born on October 15, 1953, in Hammond, IN, Jeffrey was the son of Robert and Bernice Finck. A dedicated and respected engineer, he built a meaningful career at NIPSCO, Sargent & Lundy, Union Tank Car, and Xcel Energy. His work ethic, analytical mind, and problem-solving abilities left a lasting impact on colleagues and projects alike.
More than anything, Jeffrey was a devoted family man who lived with warmth, humor, and an open heart. He found joy in live music, cherished annual reunions in Kentucky, and treasured every moment spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A lifelong Purdue Boilermakers fan, he was rarely seen without his favorite Purdue shirt, coffee mug, or game-day spirit.
He is survived by his loving children, Dan (Rachelle) Finck, Katie (Tyler) Wilson, and David Finck; his grandchildren, Austyn (Tyler) Ross, Madison Finck, Thomas Wilson, Tucker Wilson, Addison Finck, and Dean Finck; and great-grandchildren, Dallys and Isabelle. He is also survived by his mother, Bernice Finck, and his brothers, James (Theresa) Finck and John (Shelly) Finck.
Jeffrey was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Teresa; his first wife, Sally; his father, Robert; and his brother, Joseph.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to the Lewy Body Dementia Association in Jeffrey’s honor. https://www.lbda.org/donate/
