John "Jake" "Bobby" R. Jakush, age 78, passed away on May 24, 2018 at William J. Riley Memorial Residence in Munster, IN. John was born October 15, 1939 in East Chicago, IN. John enjoyed spending time outdoors. You could find him on the bike trails anytime he had the opportunity. John could often be found sitting on his front porch striking up conversations with people. He was a big sports fan, always rooting on his local teams, including the Chicago Cubs, Chicago Bears, Chicago Blackhawks, or any college football or basketball team. He retired from LTV as a crane operator. He was a friend of Bill with almost 34 years of sobriety. John is survived by his partner and companion Annette Kojic, stepson Karl, and stepdaughter Paula. John is preceded in death by his wife Karla Jakush and daughter Michelle Jakush.
