Johnny Ray Stevens, age 50, of Gary, IN passed away Wednesday, July 1, 2015. Johnny is survived by his wife Connie; children Alicia Beth (Joseph) Jabkowski of Hobart, Shane Smith of Griffith, Rachel (fiancé Lamberto Garcia) Smith; stepchildren Todd Dillon of Gary and Jeremey Laemmel of TN; mother, Lois Stevens of Gary; father, Ray (Pat) Stevens of KY; brother, James (fiancée Lesleigh Parker) Stevens of Crown Point; sisters, Sherry (Gary) Doyle of KY, Christine Stevens of Gary, and Amy (Daniel) Stevens Mayfield of KY; grandchildren Marcos, Jacob, Vivian, Isaiah, Lamberto III and Miguel. Johnny was preceded in death by his sister, Lana Stevens. Funeral services will be held Friday July 3, 2015 at 12 noon at Kuiper Funeral Home, 9039 Kleinman Road, Highland IN. Burial will follow at Ridgelawn Cemetery in Gary. Johnny was employed at S.M.T. Trucking Company of Hobart.
