Joseph M Tuskan Jr.

Joseph M. Tuskan, Jr., age 68, of Schererville, passed away Sunday, April 24, 2011. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Sharon (nee Stevens); three children: Deanna Waterloo of Punta Gorda, FL, Jeffrey (Laura) Tuskan of Highland, and Christopher (Kimberly) Tuskan of Munster; mother, Lena Tuskan of Plano, TX; three grandchildren: Justin and Eric Waterloo, and Nathan Tuskan; two brothers: James (Sharon) Tuskan of Plano, TX and David (Nancy) Tuskan of Highland; one sister, Marsha Stamper of Demotte; several nieces and nephews. Mr. Tuskan was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Tuskan, Sr. Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 28, 2011 at 11:30 a.m. at Kuiper Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Theodore Mens officiating. Prayer service Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Wednesday, April 27, 2011 from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Kuiper Funeral Home, 9039 Kleinman Road (two blocks south of Ridge Road), Highland. Mr. Tuskan retired from BP Amoco in Whiting. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and a member of the American Legion Post #485 of Schererville. Mr. Tuskan was an avid fisherman and gardener. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Joseph's loving memory to the American Diabetes Association or the American Heart Association .
