Julia Fiksdal(nee Szeplakay), age 87, of Highland, passed away March 23, 2011. She is survived by her loving daughter: Debbie(Greg) Wiesemann of Highland; loving grandchildren: Gregory, Bryan, and Julia Wiesemann, all of Highland; one brother: Frank(Rosemary) Szeplakay; two sisters-in-law: Lois Conn and Phyliss Nern; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Fiksdal. Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 28, 2011 at 10:00 AM at Kuiper Funeral Home, 9039 Kleinman Rd.(2 blocks south of Ridge Rd.), Highland, Indiana, with Rev. Robert Parnell, officiating. Interment at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, Schererville, Indiana. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Sunday, March 27, 2011 from 4-8 PM at Kuiper Funeral Home. Julia was a devoted mother and grandmother. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and attending all of their numerous activities.
