Kathleen A. Moore

Kathleen A. Moore (nee Winicki), of Dyer, IN passed away September 6, 2018 at the age of 65. Kathy was born on March 31, 1953. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Irene Winicki, along with her brother, Donald. Kathy is survived by cousins, Daniel Dull, Steve Dull, John Dull, Patricia Conway, Diane Mimnaugh, and best friends Maryann & Jeff Ramsay, loving Goddaughter Dr. Patricia (Chad) McKie, and several close work associates. Kathy was a lifelong resident of Northwest Indiana. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Management from Purdue University Calumet followed by a Master’s Degree in Accounting from DePaul University. She joined Inland Steel (now ArcelorMittal) in 1975 where she worked until her passing. Kathy had a passion for giving to others and a youthful energy about her. She truly believed that just because you got older, didn’t mean you had to grow up. She wanted to bring out the kid in everyone she met and every holiday was a reason to celebrate. Kathy will truly be missed by those that were fortunate to know her and spend time with her. Visitation with the family will be Saturday morning, October 13, from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at Kuiper Funeral Home, 9039 Kleinman RD (two blocks south of Ridge RD) Highland, IN. A short memorial service will follow at 10:30 AM. Interment will be at Calumet Park Cemetery, Merrillville, IN. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association or the Humane Society of Northwest Indiana.
