Krissi was born on January 12, 1973, in Hammond, the beloved daughter of Donald and the late Marge Kendall. She was a proud graduate of Morton High School and found great joy in spending time with her cherished nieces and nephews.
In 2006, Krissi married the love of her life, Roger Coan, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. A devoted preschool teacher, Krissi had a deep passion for nurturing and guiding her “littles.” She loved sharing ideas and discussing early childhood education with her sister-in-law,Tiffany, and was always eager to learn and grow in her profession. Her enthusiasm for teaching was matched by her love for The Phantom of the Opera, shopping trips with her nieces, and relaxing hours spent playing The Sims.
She is survived by her loving husband, Roger Coan; father, Donald Kendall; her brothers, Matthew (Tiffany) Kendall of DeMotte and Joshua Kendall of Griffith; Mother-in-law Alice Coan; Sister-in-law Heidi (David) Bane and her adored nieces and nephews, Dylan, Felicia, Taylor, Evan, and Faith Kendall, as well as Caleb and Carsen Bane.
Krissi was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Marge Kendall; and her grandparents, Felicia and Francisco Padilla.
Krissi was a woman of warmth and heart. A devoted wife, sister, aunt, and friend. Her joyful spirit and kindness left a lasting impression on everyone she met. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
