Lee William Thrasher, age 92, of Gary, IN passed away Thursday, September 28, 2017. He is survived by his three sisters: Patricia White of Lisle , IL, Norma Scobey of Valparaiso, IN and Virginia Moriarty of Valparaiso, IN; special nieces: Tammy White and Barbara Osowski; and many other nieces , nephews and cousins. Mr. Thrasher was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Thrasher (nee Larson); parents: M. Lee and Ethel Thrasher; and two sisters: Dorothy Trathen and Mary Ann Thrasher. Lee was an auditor for the Indiana Department of Revenue and was a member of the Toastmaster's Club and the Optimist's Club. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army during WWII and Korea. He was also a lifelong Cubs Fan. Private services will be held at Lee's request.
