Leonard Joseph Lessner, born on June 26, 1950, passed away on January 25, 2026, at the age of 75. Leonard was a resident of Dyer, Indiana. He is survived by his two brothers, Steve "Red" (Kathy) Lessner and Bill (Marla) Lessner; two nephews and three nieces; and numerous cousins. Leonard was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Barbara, and his parents Henry and Leona Lessner.
As per his wishes, Leonard has been cremated, and no services will be held. His final place of rest will be with his wife at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL.
Leonard retired from the Air Force as a Captain after twenty years of service. He worked for the Dyer Police Department back in the late 70's. He also retired from the Munster school district as the I.T. Director. Leonard's favorite show was the Three Stooges. He will be greatly missed.
