Lloyd G Taylor

Lloyd G. Taylor, age 73, of Griffith, passed away Sunday, December 2, 2012. He is survived by his two children: James (Danielle) Taylor of Edwardsburg, MI and Donna (Marty) Kooy of South Bend, IN; granddaughter, Jamie Taylor of Niles, MI; two brothers: Paul (Karen) Taylor of LaCrosse, WI and John (Kathy) Taylor of Hudson Lake, IN; sister, Jean (Dick) Lessard of Irving, TX; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Taylor was preceded in death by his wife, Jerri; and sister, June Trafficanti. Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 6, 2012 at 9:30 a.m. at Kuiper Funeral Home, 9039 Kleinman Road (two blocks south of Ridge Road), Highland, IN with Reverend Doctor Randy McQueen officiating. Cremation will follow service. Friends are invited to meet with the family Wednesday, December 5, 2012 from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Kuiper Funeral Home. Mr. Taylor attended the First United Methodist Church of Griffith. He retired from Acme Steel in Riverdale, IL. Lloyd was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served two years overseas in Koblenz, Germany with the 159th Signal Company Support Detachment Company.
