Margaret Rosa Schlueter Rosenwinkel

MARGARET ROSA ROSENWINKEL (NEE SCHLUETER) WAYNE, NJ Margaret Rosa Rosenwinkel (nee Schlueter), age 88, of Wayne, NJ, formerly of Hammond, IN, passed away after a brief illness on Saturday, November 2, 2013. She was preceded in death by her parents: Henry and Marie Schlueter; husband, Norbert Rosenwinkel; brother and sister-in-law: Carl and Joan Schlueter; and son-in-law, Gregory Powers. Margaret is survived by her children: Norb (Michelle) Rosenwinkel, Malinda Rosenwinkel, Margaret Mary (Dolly) Powers, and Mark Rosenwinkel; grandchildren: Jake (Kathy) Rosenwinkel, John (Stephanie) Rosenwinkel, Matthew (Tzu-Wei) Powers, Luke (Vicki) Powers, Mark (Melissa) Powers, and Margaret Anne (Justin) Jackson. She also leaves behind great grandchildren: Christian, Margaret, Timothy and Malinda Rosenwinkel, Madison Powers, and Margaret Rose and Gregory Jackson. She was a devoted aunt to her brother's children and grandchildren who will miss her exuberant presence, loving concern, and profound faith. Margaret trained as a nurse at St. Margaret's Hospital in Hammond and met her husband there. She and Norb traveled extensively and lived all over the country due to his military service before settling in New Jersey, but Northwest Indiana always held a special place in her heart. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. DIRECTLY at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 9009 Kennedy Ave., Highland, IN with Pastor Arthur Burkman officiating. Interment will follow at Concordia Cemetery, Hammond, IN. Friends are invited to meet with the family Tuesday, November 5, 2013 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at Kuiper Funeral Home, 9039 Kleinman Road (two blocks south of Ridge Road) Highland, IN.
