Michael Bane

Michael N. Bane’s love of life didn’t come to an end with his death. Michael passed away on December 21, 2023, at the age of 62: after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by loved ones, who will continue to honor his legacy by living their lives to the fullest.

The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Mike. He loved spending time in his pool with his family and friends, he enjoyed cooking on the grill and he loved watching the Bears, Cubs and Notre Dame, The Fighting Irish!

Mike was a member of the Griffith Izaak Walton League and a member of Automobile Workers Union.

Mike was preceded in death by his father CB Bane.

He is survived by his longtime girlfriend, Donna Ciszewski, and ex-wife Tammy Sibley. His children, Chad (Michelle), Tim, Channa (Steve) and Nick (Sixx).

He loved his grandchildren, Jonathan and Benicio. Longtime family friends Mary and Steven Lotzgesell and their children, Natalie and Parker.

Also surviving are his loving mother Betty and stepfather Rod; sister, Jamma (Chuck); brother Jeff (Heidi) and numerous nieces and nephews; and sister-in-law, Jackie Larson.

And his faithful dog Jack!

Mike requested no service. In lieu of flowers, his family requests donations to the Griffith Izaak Walton League of America, PO Box 33, Griffith, IN 46319 in his name.
