

NANCY KOREMENOS (NEE LAVER) HIGHLAND, IN Nancy Koremenos (nee Laver) age 80, of Highland, formerly of East Chicago, passed away Wednesday, June 27, 2012. She is survived by five daughters: Susan (Charlie) Chobanov of Eagle River, WI, Kathleen Koremenos of Highland, Lydia Lopez of Highland, Laura (Chuck) Prucha of Munster, and Karen (late Mark) Spudic of Highland; eight grandchildren: Sarah, Julie and Tony Chobanov, Jeremy and Nancy Spudic, Charlie and Emma Prucha, and Alex Lopez; five great grandchildren; one brother, Brian (Amy) Laver; one sister, Linda (late Jim) Quasney; one sister-in-law, Fran (late George) Koremenos; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Koremenos was preceded in death by her husband, Chris; and mother, Frances Laver. Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 30, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. DIRECTLY at Divine Providence P.N.C. Church (269 W. 57th Ave. Merrillville) with the Very Reverend Edward Meus officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgelawn Cemetery, Gary. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Friday, June 29, 2012 from 3:00-8:00 p.m. at Kuiper Funeral Home, 9039 Kleinman Road (two blocks south of Ridge Road) Highland. Mrs. Koremenos was an active member and treasurer of Divine Providence P.N.C. Church of Merrillville. She formerly owned Twin City Masonry with her beloved husband, Chris. Nancy enjoyed reading books and vacationing with her family. A prayer service will be held 7:30 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home.
