Phyllis J. Washington (nee Mills), of Highland, age 86, passed away on Wednesday, May 31, 2017. She is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Larry Washington, Children: Ron (Kelly) Washington, Gary Washington, and Patti (Dave) Neidow, Grandchildren: Cody (Kristie), Madison, Brian, Scott (Celia), Matt and Julie. Phyllis was a graduate of Hammond High School in 1948. She was a devout member of Ridge United Methodist Church in Munster, and especially enjoyed attending weekly Bible Study. Phyllis will most be remembered as a loving mother and the “grandest Grandma of all time”. Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, June 3, 2017 from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Kuiper Funeral Home, 9039 Kleinman Rd., Highland, IN.
