Richard A. Homans

Richard A. Homans, age 75, of Highland, IN passed away Saturday August 1, 2015. Richard is survived by three sons John Homans of Highland, Rick Homans of Highland and Scott Homans of Highland: two daughters Dawn (Tim) Topor of Schererville and Kari (Matt) Piech of Wheatfield; nine grandchildren; one great grandchild; two brothers Hank (Marry) Homans of Highland and Jim (Diane) Homans of Munster; two sisters Ilene Vander Velde of Lansing and Martha (Gerry) De Jong of South Holland. Richard was preceded in death by his wife Sharon and sister Jean Heffron. Funeral services will be held on Thursday August 6 at 10 AM at Trinity Reformed Church, 8411 Columbia Avenue, Munster, IN with Pastor Rich Bawinkel officiating. Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday, August 5 from 4-8 PM at Kuiper Funeral Home, 9039 Kleinman Road, Highland (two blocks south of Ridge Road). Richard was a member of Trinity Reformed Church of Munster. He was retired from Kaluf Dry Wall after 45 years of service. He was a veteran of the US Army and a member of V.F.W. Post 1109 of Highland.
