Robert Stanley Kowal

Robert Stanley Kowal, age 92, of Clinton Township, MI, formerly of Calumet City and Chicago, IL passed away Tuesday, November 6, 2018. He is survived by his four children: Steven (Debe) Kowal, Mark (Linda) Kowal, John Kowal and Chris Kowal; sister Dolores (late Bud) Winquist; brother James (Violet) Kowal; sister in law Mary Jane Kowal; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife Pauline; brother Richard Kowal; and parents: Stanley and Martha Kowal. Robert was a former member of St. Victor Catholic Church, Calumet City, IL. He was a veteran of the U.S.M.C. (serving in WWII Pacific Theatre). A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. DIRECTLY at St. Victor Catholic Church, 553 Hirsch Ave., Calumet City, IL 60409 with Fr. David Pavlik officiating. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Calumet City, IL. Friends are invited to meet with the family Tuesday, November 13, 2018 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Kuiper Funeral Home, 9039 Kleinman Road (two blocks south of Ridge Road) Highland, IN 46322.
