

.Robert L. Morow, 90, of Highland, IN, born Feb. 21, 1925, passed away September 29, 2015. Robert was born in East Chicago, son of Louis and Josephine (Marelic) Morow. He is survived by his wife, Alyce J. (Tolles) Morow; three children: Michael (Jewell) Morow of Indianapolis, Mary Jane (Joseph) Novosel of Fort Wayne and Paul (Kim) Morow of Carmel, IN; three grandchildren: Nick Novosel, Pauline (Andrew) Gibson and Celeste Morow; niece, Andrea (Ken) Keck of Arizona; sister-in-law Lynn Morow of Kentucky and many cousins. Bob was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Rudolph Morow of Kentucky and sister-in-law Flo Morow of Kentucky and step father Clarence Schumacher. Bob was a Ford employee in Chicago for nearly forty years, retiring in 1988 and thoroughly enjoyed those many years of retirement. During WWII he joined the Marine Corps and was stationed in the Philippines. He and Alyce Jane were married on February 3, 1951 at All Saints Church in Hammond, and moved to Highland in 1957 and attended Our Lady of Grace Church. The family would like to express thanks to the following for their kindness and supreme care to Bob as follows: Dr. C.R. Smith, Isabelle Skurka, Dr. Mischel, Dr. Buccellato, and the caring staff of Community Hospital, and the Riley Home. Also to our many good friends and neighbors who helped so much during this difficult time. We can not express our gratitude enough. Bob was an exemplary son, husband, father, grandfather and friend to all he knew. He will be sorely missed, but now he is at peace with his beloved parents and brother. “SEMPER FI”. In lieu of flowers, donations, if desired, can be made to the Our Lady of Grace Annual Fund, Hospice of the Calumet Area/Riley Home, or Masses for Bob.
