Robert L. Whitworth “Mikey” age 54 of Lowell, IN formally of Hammond, IN passed away August 6, 2016 at his home. He is survived by his daughter Robyn (Dan)Plonczynski of Crown Point, IN, granddaughter Rowan Plonczynski, his mother Wanda Whitworth, two sibling Wanda “Kitty” (Gene) Hurt, David (Cheryl) Whitworth JR. both of Hammond, IN; preceded in death by his wife of 4 years Deborah, his father David A. Whitworth SR, one brother Billy , sister-in-law Pamela Whitworth. Funeral services will be held Friday August 12, 2016; 11:00 AM at Kuiper Funeral Home 9039 Kleinman Rd (two blocks south of Ridge Rd) Highland, IN Pastor Scott Ferry officiating, private burial. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday August 4th 2016, 2 to 7 pm at the funeral home. Robert was a 1979 graduate of Morton Senior High School. He started his automotive career at Anderson Auto Parts in Hammond, IN; then CTI in Munster, IN, currently employed at Ford Stamping Plant in Chicago Heights, IL.
