Sarah Ruth Hawkins

It is with tremendous sorrow that we announce the death of Sarah Ruth Hawkins, a woman of faith, compassion, and integrity. Sarah was born September 26th, 1978, and transitioned from this world to the next on April 27, 2026. Throughout her 47 years on this Earth, she touched many lives with her kindness and joy, as well as an unwavering resilience to situations that made her truly unique.

Driven by a want to know Jesus, she was an active member in her church community and served on a regular basis at her church. Her loving, faithful, and compassionate spirit was known to light up every room that she walked into.

Her vibrant life was full of many milestones, including the birth of her two daughters, meeting her first grandson, and going back to school to complete her Master's Degree in Social Work and becoming a Licensed Social Worker. With her degree, she helped many families in the region. She will be missed by all who knew her and her heart.

Sarah is survived by her parents, John and Susan. She is also survived by what she called her whole world, her daughters, Hajime and Jeri-Lynn; and her grandson, Christopher.

While we mourn the loss of a brilliant light in our lives, we also wish to celebrate her transition into Jesus's arms. Her Celebration of Life is open to all and will be held May 22nd, 2026, between 4:00-8:00 pm at Kuiper Funeral Home, 9039 Kleinman Road, Highland, IN 46322.
