Stephan Hanzivasilis

Stephan Hanzivasilis, age 80, of Highland, IN passed away Monday, January 23, 2017. He is survived by his two children: Kellie (Richard) Veracco and Constantine "Dean" (Natalia) Hanzivasilis; two grandchildren: John Veracco and Kepler Hanzivasilis; brother, Nick (Rosemary) Hanzivasilis; sister, Anna (George) Dearborn; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Janice Hanzivasilis in 2014. Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 26, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. DIRECTLY at Ss Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 8000 Madison St., Merrillville, IN with Fr. George P. Pappas officiating. Interment will follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, Schererville, IN. Friends are invited to meet with the family Wednesday, January 25, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. (Trisagion service 5:00 p.m.) at Kuiper Funeral Home, 9039 Kleinman Road (two blocks south of Ridge Road) Highland, IN. Stephan was a member of Ss Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Merrillville.
