Susan M. Moore

Susan M. Moore, 79, of Highland, passed away Tuesday, January 3, 2017. Born October 30, 1937, she was married to Carl H. Moore for 55 years. Beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, she is also survived by her brother Bill (Delphine) Stephenson, children Mindy (Steve) Wilsford, Brian Moore and Patrick Jamison, and Daniel (Charmel) Moore, as well as grandchildren Nathan and Sarah Wilsford and Conner and Kate Moore. Susan retired as a bookkeeper at Strack and Van Til Supermarkets after 28 years. She loved music and played piano for her church choir and treasured watching her grandchildren perform in music and drama. She and Carl enjoyed traveling the United States, visiting national parks and observing nature. Susan was a baptized believer in Jesus Christ and attended the Woodmar United Methodist Church. Friends may gather with family Sunday, January 8 at Kuiper Funeral Home in Highland from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm. Funeral service will be on Monday, January 9 at 10:00am at the funeral home, followed by interment at Chapel Lawn Cemetery in Schererville. Memorials may be made to National Conservancy.
